    Digital onboarding is a secure online process that allows customers to open a bank account and activate services remotely by completing identity verification digitally—without visiting a physical branch. With digital onboarding in Sri Lanka, customers can:
    • Open a bank account online
    • Complete KYC verification digitally
    • Access banking services instantly
  • Who can apply for a Pan Asia Bank Account via digital onboarding?
    Digital onboarding is available for:
    • Sri Lankan citizens with a valid National Identity Card (NIC) including non-resident Sri Lankans (NRSLs)
  • Can existing Pan Asia Bank customers open an account through Digital Onboarding?
    No. Digital onboarding via Pan Asia Bank is currently available only for new customers.
  • What documents are required for Digital Onboarding?
    To open a bank account online through Pan Asia Bank, you will need:
    • National Identity Card (NIC / NNIC)
    • Selfie photograph
    • Signature on white paper
    • Passport (if applicable)
    • Proof of address (if different from NIC)


    Note: additional documents may be requested based on your profile or regulatory requirements.
  • What happens after I submit my application?
    After submitting your digital onboarding application, you will receive a confirmation email. A representative from Pan Asia Bank will contact you at your selected date and time to complete a video verification process. Once your identity is successfully verified, your account will be activated.
  • Are digitally onboarded accounts compliant with CBSL guidelines?
    Yes. Digital onboarding at Pan Asia Bank fully complies with regulations set by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
  • How long does digital onboarding take?​

    Yes. Once your account is successfully opened, you can access the digital banking services offered by Pan Asia Bank. This includes:
    • Mobile and Internet Banking – which you can set up and activate to manage your account online.
    • SMS Alerts and e-Statements – automatically enrolled to your registered mobile number and email address respectively.
